Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
I started off in pool parties and house parties, grew a buzz and now I rebranded myself and went mobile, now i'm doing mostly weddings, birhtday parties, company events, expos and store events. ( I am still open to ANY event offers)
What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
Venue location, date, time, estimated guest, budget and music preferance are key when recieving estimates from me. They should know I do not provide lighting making me more mobile as a dj. After that I just need to understand your vision for the event, and finally a power source and i'm ready to rock.
What do you like most about your job?
Creating memories with music & sharing it with people. When some words are better left unsaid, there is music to answer what are unexpressed. I do this for the love & just put things together that I want to put together. If you have an ear and are willing to listen to great sound, I wanna share my art with you.
What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
Finding a DJ is like searching for a new cologne/perfume at a large dept store, you shouldn't just buy it cause the bottle looks pretty or because it comes with a FREE tote bag. Same goes with a DJ, you shouldn't just choose one cause he/shes the first one you found on "google" with a nice site or offers free lighting packages. Cuz like a new scent it's either good or just stinks. Work, quality, consistancy, thats what you get when you choose me. I love what I do, I have samples, I make new mixes and practice sets like every week. Don't choose your dj cause they saved you a few bucks. NOT ALL DJS ARE THE SAME. At the same time don't mistake my affordability with skill level.(vice versa) All because their services are pricier, doesn't mean they perform just as well. I think of myself as the best bang for your buck. If you haven't seen a DJ that you really like the first thing is to get recommendations from people that you trust. Never book a DJ from an agency without talking to their DJ directly. You need to feel 100% comfortable that they will do a good job for you. & Please give your dj some time!!
What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
Im probally the coolest dj you will ever met, and I want to say that in the least big headed way, but couldn't come up with the words :/ I'm human, plain and simple, no big boss, no deadlines, open your self up, get comfortable, tell me your budget, your vision, I will try my best to make your event unforgetable, besides, I don't like to be forgotten. lol
If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
I wish customers understand the amount of hours it takes to construct an organized set and the amount of practice I put into my work. It's not just organizing a playlist and playing one song after another. I wanna take the crowd on a journey, bring up good memories and start new ones with enjoyable brilliant music that gets them dancing. I also wish my wedding clients would know that their wedding was going to be really good and they can relax and enjoy themselves till the day. Get a massage or spa the day before.
