"With ALL (yes all, no doubt) DJ’s and producers being booked on their count of been able to attract a crowd, it’s kind of irrelevant what they use to do so. If a whizz kid who grew up with speedy broadband and a comprehensive iTunes library finds it easier to mash up a set on Ableton (at home) than tweak a few knobs live, all power to him. At the same time, if a guy is streak poor and learnt on his best mates’ turntables during his childhood, finally ending him on a DJ podium in Ibiza – the kid deserves props. It’s this exact diversity that separates a club night next Friday from the club night you went to last Friday, the very same diversity that makes one DJ better than another."
